Focus & Doing What’s In Front of You

Focus & Doing What’s In Front of You

This week I’m working on focus, trying to be more mindful of how I’m spending my time.  I really want to create some meaningful rituals around daily tasks that I need want to do. Like visualize for 5 minutes. State my goals and affirmation statement every morning and evening. Write 1,000 words a day. Post here daily. Process photos and post them at least three times a week.  Read the book club selection and write for Cool Blue Souls.  Write the Letter.

I’m evolving into a full-time writer by acting “as if” – as if I already am.  That means creating time to do this work in addition to the work I do for my salaried job.  It means learning to structure my days so differently now that I have time to do this work.

Today, I went to hear Mike Dooley speak about his new book Leveraging the Universe.  He talked about visualizing, acting ‘as if’, and doing what’s in front of you. Today’s Letter is about a missed opportunity last week because I didn’t do what was in front of me.  I try to learn from my mistakes and regrets and move on.

So my intention for this week is to focus and take inspired action. Onward!

What are your intentions for this week?
