I love learning what inspires other creative, spiritual people, so I thought I’d share with you how I stay connected to that white space of creativity and spiritual flow. Here are 3 ways to get into your creative flow. (These are not affiliate links; I’m not making any money by recommending these products. I actually use them every day, in some cases, for years.)

1. Holosync

This is how I meditate, using  brainwave entrainment. It’s like meditation on steroids. It’s easy and powerful. You just listen to the soundtracks and your mind dives deeply into a zen meditation that is powerful, peaceful, soothing, restorative.

There’s nothing else like it, and I’ve tried several other meditation programs. I’ve been using it for six years, mostly every day, but always at least three times a week.  I’m on Purification Level 1, which is the fifth of 12 levels of the program. Since using it, I am definitely more centered and calm. I feel more spiritually aligned and energetically aware than I ever was before. I have fabulous, inspiring visions and creative ideas when I meditate while using it.

2. OmmWriter

If you want to get deep with your thoughts or overcome writer’s block, this is the software to use. It’s incredible. I have it on my iPad and desktop. There are gorgeous soothing backgrounds to choose from that block out everything else on your screen so you can concentrate without distractions. These backgrounds aren’t just pretty, though. They were researched with a color therapy expert and designed to

employ dynamically changing color techniques to subconsciously promote tranquility (#7) as well as to stimulate creativity (#8). Visual experience #5 is intended to stimulate writer creativity through the use of subliminal inspirational text that changes with every session.

But that’s not the magic of OmmWriter. The magic comes when you listen to the music with headphones while you write.  The music has been created especially for writers.

Track #6 reproduces the sounds typically heard in a library. Track #7 tries to simulate the sounds that an unborn child would hear inside the mother’s womb.

As if that wasn’t enough, you can also choose sounds for your keyboard strokes. The combination creates a sacred trinity for writers. You can completely lose yourself in your work and enter another realm. It’s a transcendent experience.

3. Morning Appreciation Pages with my Levenger fountain pen

This is a ritual for me, writing every morning before my Pilates workout.  I start the day with appreciations for what is, what was, and what I know will be. This reminds me of my inner power and the responsibility to honor that power with my actions every day.  The Levenger fountain pen glides effortlessly across the paper. I’ve been using it with a beautiful brown (cocoa) ink for five years now.  One day recently I realized that I was nearly out of ink refills and was surprised by the panic I felt at the thought of not having that pen to use each morning.  I was irrationally happy when I found a spare refill to tide me over until the new shipment arrived. That’s how much I love using that pen!

Those are three ways I stay in a creative, spiritual flow.
