Late in the day on Sunday of the Rich, Happy & Hot conference, a woman approached the microphone and told us she wanted to share a story about the power of following your intuition.

She had left the conference the previous day with the copy of Super Rich that Russell Simmons gave out to all of us. She got in a taxi and struck up a conversation with the driver, who asked where she had been.  She told him about the conference and about Simmons visiting Occupy Wall Street. They talked  about that for awhile.  Then for some reason, a voice in her head told her to give him the book. She had already purchased it for her kindle anyway.  She instinctively took the book from her bag and handed it to him through the window, saying “You might like to read his book.”  He was so stunned that she was giving him the book,  he pulled over to tell her that he had  just finished reading the Bhagavad Gita and Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now and was looking for another spiritual book to read.

Our intuition is really our soul speaking to us. Sometimes I can hear mine loud and clear, but I often tune it out.  I’ve had years of practice ignoring it and rationalizing it away.

What was so interesting was that I had heard my own soul telling me to do something earlier that day and I had ignored it.  It didn’t seem like such a big deal at the time.  But then, listening to her story, I felt like I was hearing a message directed to me, telling me not to ignore my intuition again.

(I’m writing about that in the letter on Monday. If you subscribe before midnight Sunday, you will get it.)

Are you listening to your intuition?

What has it told you lately?
